Deborah Hoover has worked as a watercolor artist in the West Michigan area since her graduation from Kendall College of Art and Design. While she paints figurative subjects engaged in various physical activities such as sports and dancing, she is most known for her musical pieces. Works from her symphony and jazz series can be found in both public and private collections in the area. In addition to her work as a studio artist, she has also been selected as artist-in-residence in several local high schools.
