Sandra Lummen is a life-long Michigan resident and is Professor Emeritus of Foundation and Fine Art at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. She holds a degree in painting, an MA in Art Education, and an MFA in Fine Art Textiles from Western Michigan University. She is currently developing a series of coloristic paintings derived from fragile places predominately on the Leelanau Peninsula.
